The Province of Zeeland wants mitigating measures for residents of the border region if Belgium goes ahead with its plan to introduce a toll vignette. Provincial Executive Member Harry van der Maas (Mobility) said that the province actually does not want to charge for Belgian roads at all, but that the negative consequences for residents must be limited as much as possible if the vignette is introduced anyway.
