It was a dramatic day for a farmer from Podlasie. On Thursday, in the town of Karpowicze (Suchowola commune), just before 11 a.m., a huge fire broke out in a brick barn with an area of 1,200 cubic meters. There were about 160 dairy cows inside. Although the owners and firefighters saved 60 cattle, the fire and smoke killed the remaining animals. The owners estimate the losses: PLN 900,000.
