Mexico City.- The next president of the Court, Hugo Aguilar, reported that the new Ministers and Ministers will participate in a traditional ceremony of delivery of Batón de Mando y Servicio as part of the initial activities as of September 1. As President Sheinbaum or former President López Obrador has done, Aguilar said that it will be indigenous and Afro-Mexican authorities who will perform this ceremony to the new members of the Court.
MEXICO CITY.- Hugo Aguilar, virtual president of the new Supreme Court, reported that the elected ministers agreed to hold a ceremony to hand over an indigenous cane of command to take office. The nine elected ministers met on Tuesday to discuss the transition process, the institutional redesign of the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation (SCJN) and the strategies to reduce the backlog of cases.
At the meeting, the future ministers confirmed that three ceremonies will be held to begin office: the taking of protest before the Senate, the solemn session of installation of the new Court, and a traditional ceremony of surrender of Baton of Command and Service.
