Richard Harry is the licencee for the Lake George Hotel a block down the the road in Gibraltar St. He settled on the 140-year-old Royal on March 2020 with plans to "open for 9 to 12 months, then renovate" The facade of the Royal's original sandstone publican's residence which was behind the original pub, is now wrapped inside it.
