Yamanashi Forest Fire Contained, No Injuries (Kyodo News)

On the 24th, the cities of Uenohara and Otsuki in Yamanashi Prefecture announced that a forest fire that broke out on the 8th on Mount Ogiyama (1,138 meters), which straddles the two cities, was put out at 6 p.m. on the 24th. According to the two cities, no injuries or damage to buildings have been confirmed. Approximately 396 hectares have been burned so far.
