Xbox Cloud Games Will Soon Follow You Just About Everywhere
JUL 21 – Microsoft's Play History feature syncs cloud and local game progress across Xbox consoles, PCs, and handhelds to simplify multi-device gaming for millions of players.
- Rolling out now for Xbox Insiders, Microsoft has introduced a new Play History tab, and it should reach all players in the coming weeks.
- Last year, Xbox embarked on a multi-device push, and earlier this summer Microsoft unveiled the ROG Xbox Ally handheld arriving later this year.
- Lily Wang said the feature includes all cloud playable titles, and enables players to start on console and finish on PC with no time lost thanks to cloud saves.
- Xbox Experiences Product Manager Lily Wang said `No matter the device, your progress…`, and the PC app now features a cloud playable filter to highlight streamable titles.
- Eventually, PC games could appear on consoles through Cloud Gaming, as devices gain access to the same library, Play History on console may list PC games playable via Xbox Cloud Gaming.
