PHILADELPHIA, PA — A survey of 2,000 Americans has ranked Philadelphia’s iconic “Clothespin” sculpture as the sixth ugliest piece of public art in the country, while another Pennsylvania installation, Pittsburgh’s “Walking to the Sky,” also made the list at number 79. WSU’s “Technicolor Heart” Vote 65th Ugliest Public Art Piece In America
PULLMAN, WA – The “Technicolor Heart” at Washington State University has been voted the 65th Ugliest Public Art Piece in America. The poll was conducted by the website Rivers Art. The 12 foot bronze heart created by Jim Dine was installed on the WSU campus in 2004. It was voted the 3rd ugliest art piece in Washington.
