- Surveying 6,494 women across seven countries, the British Standards Institution found 68% believe employers should support menstruation and menopause health, yet Director Anne Hayes noted a significant gap between awareness and action after three years.
- Designed for organizations of all sizes, the new International Standard provides practical recommendations for leaders and human resources professionals to identify and address workplace factors affecting employees experiencing menstruation or menopause.
- ISO Secretary-General Sergio Mujica said the standard "provides internationally agreed recommendations," while Sarah Sim of the Swedish Institute noted that developing it brought together experts from different countries and sectors to build international consensus.
