New Jersey American Water is set to replace approximately 1.3 miles of aging water main in Springfield starting this month as part of a $3 million infrastructure project. The company will upgrade water lines that were installed as far back as the 1950s with new 16-inch ductile iron main along U.S. Route 22 West.
