Women’s team exit League Cup

Chesterfield FC Women suffered a 4-2 extra-time defeat to Loughborough Vixens on Sunday afternoon as Pete Jarvis’ side were knocked out of the League Cup. Goals from Abbie Staples and Millie Standen had given Chesterfield a 2-1 lead in regular time before Loughborough equalised late on. The hosts then took the tie out of sight with two goals in the first half of extra time to secure their place in the next round.
