Norwegian Eirin Maria Kvandal won 5.4 points ahead of Swedish Frida Westman and 14.6 points ahead of Slovenian World Cup dominator Nika Prevc on Saturday in women's skiing in Vikersund.The fifth-placed Norwegian Anna Odine Ström was the longest flight of the competition at 235.5 m, thus missing Prevc women's world record at 0.5 m. An Austrian had not qualified.A second competition is planned for Sunday (9.30 am).

The ski jumpers competed in the opening competition at the Vikersundbakken ski jump. This year, the ski jumpers will be awarded a small globe for scoring their flights for the first time. The winner was Norwegian Eirin Maria Kvandal. Nika Prevc, who came first after the first series, finished third after a poor second flight, thus missing out on her 40th career victory. Nika Vodan finished in second place behind her.
