- In the quarter-finals, Italy progressed as Group B runners-up, while Cristiana Girelli’s late goal stunned Norway and Spain overcame Switzerland 2-0.
- Only five of 14 spotkicks were converted in the shootout, after England’s Lionesses trailed 2-0 before extra-time, with Hannah Hampton making two saves.
- Captain Leah Williamson rolled her ankle during extra-time, but Esme Morgan said the Lionesses are `very optimistic` she will be available.
- With the final set for July 27, all eyes are now on Tuesday’s clash with Italy in Geneva, with a champion to be crowned then.
