His real name was Amparo Gutiérrez Hernández, born in Celaya, Gto., in 1908. He died in 1946 in Mexico City. Actress of the time of the Golden Cinema in Mexico, whom they affectionately called Monina. He married actor and director Ramón Pereda with whom he appeared in several films. The actress, seriously ill during a filming of the film Rocambole and did not survive a surgical intervention.
