A young woman appears to have drowned while swimming in the Danube in Lower Austria on Saturday afternoon. Passersby alerted emergency services and reported a drowning person near the rolling ferry between Klosterneuburg and Korneuburg. However, the search for the missing swimmer was unsuccessful and was called off on Sunday afternoon, Benjamin Löbl, commander of the Klosterneuburg Fire Department, told APA.
The woman must have fallen into the water at the height of the roll ferry.
