- Defendants have yet to respond to the new complaint, and five witnesses plan to sue Read and blogger Aiden Kearney for defamation, while Read seeks damages and a jury trial.
- Read's lawyers said they will move to consolidate this civil case with the O'Keefe family's wrongful-death suit, noting that Michael Proctor's firing could affect the Brian Walshe trial, while `neither Mr. O'Keefe nor his family have received justice.
