With 70 Years of Tradition, the Zamarripa Family Keeps the Mason Alive in Silao

Silao, Gto.- For 70 years, the Zamilpa family has had the tradition of making alfeñiques, which they began manufacturing since May to sell at “Artesanías Doña Loreto”, during the exhibition of the Day of the Dead in Silao. It was Mrs. Doña Loreto who, together with her husband, Bernardo Zamilpa, began working on the market more than 50 years ago carrying a wooden table and its boxes with the figurines of sugar glass for sale.
