‘Holy snow, Batman!’: Ontario, Quebec residents dig out after major weekend snowfall

The eastern half of Canada experienced heavy snowfall again, with Montreal and Laval receiving about 40 centimetres of snow by 1 a.m. ET Monday, according to reports from Environment Canada.
Environment Canada issued blizzard warnings for much of southern and central Quebec, affecting many schools and daycares in the Greater Montreal area.
Philippe Sabourin, a spokesperson for Montreal, indicated that it would take days for snow plows to clear 11,000 kilometres of streets in the city.
