Windtech International - China Huaneng and Dongfang Electric present 17 MW floating wind turbine
China Huaneng Group and Dongfang Electric have developed a 17 MW direct-drive floating wind turbine. It is expected to produce around 68 million kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, enough to supply approximately 40,000 households. The turbine will be tested in offshore conditions near Yangjiang in Guangdong Province.
