- On Friday, August 22, 2025, NDLEA operatives arrested Mrs. Ifeoma Henrietta Ezewuike at Jibowu bus terminal, Yaba, for attempting to traffic 1.3 kilograms of cocaine to Abuja.
- During interrogation, the suspect claimed she inherited the illicit trade from her late husband, who died two years ago, while running Golden Star Creation on Ago Palace Way for 20 years.
- NDLEA said officers found cocaine strapped beneath a fake pregnancy, and a follow-up search at her Ago Palace Way residence yielded 200 grams of cutting agent.
- NDLEA said the widow's arrest was among raids across Lagos, Kano, Kogi, Kwara, Taraba, Delta, Adamawa, FCT, Ondo, Ekiti, and Edo conducted between August 17 and 23, 2025.
- The NDLEA reported major seizures this week, including 818,400 pills of tramadol and other opioids, with 354,480 pills recovered in Adamawa and 452,070 pills seized in Kano.
