- According to UFC Stats, Shevchenko outlanded Zhang 137-80 and scored on five of six takedown attempts while controlling her for 13:24.
- Shevchenko's win also tied Amanda Nunes for most UFC women's title-fight wins at 11, with immediate contenders including Natalia Silva .
- Reflecting on strategy, Shevchenko said, `This is the art of martial arts` and `I was prepared for the hardest challenge`, using distance, wrestling and leg/body kicks to neutralize Zhang's power.
