Rutilo Patiño was a photographer born in 1890 in Jaral del Progreso, Guanajuato. He died in January 1969. His well-known work focuses almost entirely on translating life into his native village and on some few trips he made in the Mexican Republic. He learned the trade in the city of Guadalajara, Jalisco and opened the first photographic study that is reported in this small predominantly agricultural community.
