DAVIS, W.Va. (WBOY) - The White Grass XC Ski Area opened early on Veterans Day after more than a foot of snow was dumped on the area. About 14 inches of natural snow fell in Canaan Valley on Monday and Tuesday and allowed the state's only designated cross-country ski area to open before its downhill counterparts.
