The protests against Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, which have been ongoing for months, have reached a new high point. Serious riots have taken place in the city of Valjevo, where protesters set fire to the SNS party headquarters, after alleged thugs attacked sympathizers outside the demonstrations and rioted in their shops.
The gatherings are held in Belgrade, but also in Požega, Valjevo, Bor, Zrenjanin, Ivanjica, Kostolac and Kragujevac.
MEP Helmut Brandstetter tells N1 that he is very saddened by the images coming out of Serbia in recent days.
