When the Church breaks laws and accepts rejected asylum seekers

In 2015, the Federal Office for Migration and Refugees (BAMF) agreed with representatives of the Church that "in justified exceptional cases, asylum applications from refugees can be re-examined in order to avoid special humanitarian hardships."
