A motion to waive the immunity of MEP Daniel Obajtkov will be read at the European Parliament in Strasbourg on Monday. This information was confirmed by the press services of the EP, indicating that the document was received by the institution on December 19 last year. The motion was filed by Attorney General and Justice Minister Adam Bodnar.
On Monday, the European Parliament will start the procedure regarding the request to waive the immunity of Daniel Obajtek — informs RMF FM. Attorney General Adam Bodnar submitted a motion on the matter in December 2024. President Roberta Metsola will present the proposal at the next meeting and the European Parliament's legal committee will deal with it.
Next Monday, President Roberta Metsola will submit to the European Parliament a motion to lift Daniel Obajtek's immunity, RMF FM reporter Tomasz Skory learned. This will launch the procedure regarding the motion submitted in December 2024 by Prosecutor General Adam Bodnar.
