Westminster closer to asking for a tax increase for fire services and improving streets - Westminster Window

WESTMINSTER, ADAMS COUNTY, COLORADO, JUL 8 – A recent survey shows 68% voter support for a 0.4% sales tax hike to fund fire stations, hire 30 emergency personnel, and allocate $2 million annually for neighborhood street upgrades.

Westminster Councilors are inching toward asking voters, again, for more money for the fire department. Councilors Monday night directed city staff members to move forward with a plan to engage the community about putting a 0.4% sales tax increase on the November ballot, said city spokesman Andy Le.
