Westlife confirmed for Katie Taylor's Croke Park farewell
The Irish group will perform for Taylor’s final professional bout, which is expected to draw more than 80,000 fans, organizers said.
On Saturday, Irish pop group Westlife will headline entertainment at Croke Park for boxer Katie Taylor's final professional fight, marking their seventh appearance at the Dublin stadium.
Taylor, a three-time undisputed world champion, will face undefeated French fighter Flora Pili in front of more than 80,000 fans as she bids to end her illustrious career.
With more than 55 million records sold and over 6 million concert tickets purchased worldwide, Westlife previously performed six sold-out shows at the Gaelic Athletic Association venue.
Organizers confirmed the match will be broadcast worldwide on DAZN and on RTÉ in Ireland, following negotiations between promoter Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing and Aiken Promotions.
Next week, the band will launch their 25th anniversary tour with a 13-night residency at Dublin's 3Arena, the first of more than 150 shows scheduled across multiple continents.
