Agricultural frost hits apple orchards, damage exceeds 90%

Şemsi Bayraktar, the Chairman of the Union of Chambers of Agriculture of Turkey (TZOB), examined the apple orchards in Niğde that suffered great damage due to agricultural frost. He called for debt restructuring and low-interest credit support for farmers in the region where losses exceeded 90 percent.

CHP Kayseri MP Aşqin Genç stated that due to agricultural frost, production will not be available from apple orchards expected to harvest 250 thousand tons this year in Kayseri, saying, “The state will show its statehood here. He has to do what he needs to do.”
