Most of the protesters could not remember such a large demonstration in Arab society in years. “Crime is built on silence. Breaking it undermines it,” said one participant. The increased police presence at the scene highlighted the tension between citizens and the authorities.
Thousands of people have joined a protest in Sakhnin, where demonstrators are expressing their dissatisfaction with the inaction of the Israeli police in the face of rising crime in Arab communities. The rising number of victims is raising urgent demands for systemic change.

During the protest, Highway 805 will be blocked in both directions. The mayor petitioned the High Court of Justice, complaining that the police had conditioned the permit for the procession on not coming closer than a kilometer and a half from the police station. "Thousands are waiting in the city, and thousands are being held up at the entrance by the police," said MK Touma-Suliman.
