Wayne Co. receives funds for EMS from dissolution of AEMS

WAYNE — Wayne County received a distribution check of more than $49,000 in connection with the dissolution of the EMS corporation Appalachian Emergency Medical Services (AEMS). Wayne County Administrator James “Jim” Boggs shared the news during the Wayne County Commission’s regular meeting on Monday, Oct. 20. In an interview following the meeting, he said the total amount the county received was $49,333; the check was sent to the commission.
