NSW SES Chief Superintendent Dallas Burnes says WaterNSW is releasing a significant amount of water out of the Menindee Lake system, causing river levels to rise at the Menindee township. “It’s the water that is the outcome of the flooding on the Darling and Namoi systems from several months ago … and that’s lead to the situation where WaterNSW is now releasing significant water out of Menindee Lake system,” Mr Burnes told Sky News Australia.
