The Avalanches Get Nostalgic on Joyous New Single 'Together' Featuring Nikki Nair, Jessy Lanza, and Prentiss
The Australian trio also teased its fourth studio album and released a visualizer featuring an anthropomorphic iPod and floppy disk.
Australian electronic group The Avalanches returned with "Together," their first new single in six years, featuring Nikki Nair, Jessy Lanza, and 18-year-old artist Prentiss from Jackson, Missouri.
Following their 2020 album Will Always Love You, the Avalanches have been teasing their fourth studio album since the fall, posting an Instagram story captioned "LP #4."
Frequent collaborator Jonathan Zawada directed and animated the song's visualizer, which features an anthropomorphic media player and floppy disk.
The Australian trio launched a website for a fictional company called Takumi, featuring a "mission statement" regarding digital archives and a purple cartoon cat mascot.
Recent activity includes the 20th anniversary reissue of their Y2K classic, as the group also dropped a Doom remix of "Tonight May Have to Last Me All My Life" and collaborations with Jamie and Cola Boyy.
