IOWA FALLS - An individual for whom a warrant was issued back in October has finally been taken into custody. The Iowa Falls Police Department had been trying for months to arrest Mattew Gene Schlacter, 47, for months, including with an attempt back in March to lure Schlacter through an order firewood.

Wanted Man By APD Apprehended In Texas

A Bellefonte man, described as armed and dangerous, and wanted by Altoona Police, was apprehended yesterday in Texas.  Thirty-seven-year-old Zachary Cooper was taken into custody by authorities in Marshall, Texas, and is currently being held in prison there, awaiting extradition back to Pennsylvania.  Reportedly, Cooper faces charges in Altoona, Lamar and Rockview.  Here in Altoona he’s wanted for a string of burglaries’ that occurred last month.
