Wallabies welcome back major artillery for Twickenham Test
The Wallabies include key players Hunter Paisami and Angus Bell, with Lukhan Salakaia-Loto returning from injury, as they prepare to challenge England with a strong squad.
- On Saturday, the Wallabies named a starting XV to face England at Twickenham, welcoming back Joseph-Aukuso Suaalii, Max Jorgensen and Fraser McReight after travelling to London earlier in the week.
- Because the Test falls outside World Rugby's window, Rugby Australia could not negotiate releases with Leicester and Exeter, and Joe Schmidt said, `We always try to favour home-based players anyway`.
- Hunter Paisami retains his spot at inside centre, with Andrew Kellaway starting at fullback and Max Jorgensen moving back to wing; replacements include Josh Nasser, Tom Robertson, Allan Alaalatoa, Lukhan Salakaia-Loto and Nick Champion de Crespigny.
- England, however, has been able to field a full-strength squad after an RFU-Premiership agreement, while Joe Schmidt, Wallabies coach, said the ruling was not a distraction for his team.
- Schmidt noted the hectic schedule of 15 Tests across 22 weeks in nine countries and 10 time zones has affected cohesion, with coaches resting players last week and making 13 changes in Japan.
