Emmanuel Macron gathered, Tuesday, September 2, the leaders of the government camp for a crisis lunch, six days from a likely fall of François Bayrou, against the background of calls for a new dissolution of the National Assembly or a resignation of the Head of State.
Gabriel Attal, Édouard Philippe, Bruno Retailleau, and François Bayrou had lunch at the Élysée on Tuesday.

The negotiations are continuing in Matignon with a view to the vote of confidence but there is no suspense: the Bayrou government will fall. The various political forces are now trying to draw after 8 September and therefore after Bayrou.
