- On Wednesday, Volvo Car unveiled the EX30 Cargo, its first commercial electric vehicle, designed for business and fleet use starting at $48,000 on the road.
- Volvo created this offering by converting the existing EX30, removing rear seats and installing a flat load floor with a payload bulkhead separating the driver from cargo.
- The electric van delivers a load capacity of 1,000 litres and a max payload of 859 lbs, with a WLTP electric driving range of up to 183 miles and 428 hp output.
- Buyers can choose between Core and Plus trims, with Cross Country versions available; every model includes Google-based infotainment, Adaptive Cruise Control, and Safe Space Technology.
- For model year 2026 and 2027 vehicles, the EX30 Cargo will not arrive in the American market anytime soon, as Volvo previously announced it is pulling the EX30 from its lineup.
