Virginia swift water rescue teams join local responders in Texas flood recovery efforts

In Texas, the lakes have made the Rio Guadalupe almost eight metres in just 45 minutes. The region faces one of the worst droughts in the United States - the dry soil does not absorb water, which further aggravates floods. The authorities ask for protection, until there is more forecast rain.
