On the 11th, the Okinawa Prefectural Police Ginowan Station arrested a Vietnamese man (34) from Ginowan City on suspicion of violating the Cultural Properties Protection Act for possessing 844 hermit crabs, a national natural monument, without permission. In addition, about 1,700 hermit crabs were found in cardboard boxes and seized from the suspect's home, the largest number of crabs ever seized in the prefecture.
