- Bodycam footage has been released showing the moments leading up to the fatal shooting of Ta'Kiya Young, a pregnant black woman, by police in Ohio. The footage shows officers attempting to question her for alleged shoplifting before one officer fires a shot at her as she appears to drive towards him. Both Young and her unborn child died from the shooting.
- The police officers involved in the shooting have not been identified, but one has been returned to duty while the other remains on leave. The Blendon Township police department has requested the Ohio Attorney General's Bureau of Criminal Investigation to look into the incident.
- Ta'Kiya Young, 21, was due to give birth in November and was the mother of two boys. Her family believes the shooting was "clearly a criminal act" and preventable. The release of the bodycam footage has been delayed to redact certain footage in compliance with Ohio law.
