- Four men, a 19-year-old from Redditch, a 26-year-old from Birmingham, and a 31-year-old from Hollywood, Worcestershire, have been arrested on suspicion of Section 18 wounding with intent and taken into custody for questioning.
- Detective Chief Inspector Paul Parry stated, "This assault has left the victim in a critical condition during what should have been an enjoyable night out in Liverpool," emphasizing that "The information you have could prove vital to our enquiries."
