Veteran mediator Vince Ready to step in to try to end the B.C. nurses dispute
The mediators will work for 10 days after nurses expanded pickets, an overtime ban and a refusal to do non-nursing duties, officials said.

- Nearly two-thirds of voting nurses rejected a tentative May agreement offering a 12 per cent pay increase over four years, fueling the impasse.
- Ready and Rogers will work with the parties for 10 days to reach a settlement; the Health Ministry stated they will provide recommendations to the minister if agreement fails.
- Premier David Eby noted the dispute highlights systemic concerns regarding nursing working conditions and safety, stating "nurses are the glue that hold an incredibly strained system together, and they deserve to be recognized for that.
