Ahead of the 2026 primaries, the North Carolina State Board of Elections rejected a plan Tuesday to open an early-voting center on the Greensboro campus of North Carolina A&T State University, according to NC Newsline. The Republican-controlled board also voted to close the existing early-voting centers at Elon University and Western Carolina University.
