John Velazquez steps down as Jockey Guild co-chair
Hall of Fame jockey John Velazquez is stepping down as co-chair of the Jockeys Guild. The announcement was made at the guild's annual assembly Tuesday. Velazquez served as chairman of the guild for more than 20 years and as co-chair with Mike Smith since 2018.
