The 60-year-old director of primary school De Lettertuin in Koekelare has been suspended after returning from sick leave. The reason: “His return was tumultuous, he loudly announced ‘not to do any more knocking until his retirement’ and a disciplinary investigation was started due to toxic leadership,” the board of directors announced. He still contested his suspension at the Council of State but was unsuccessful.
