Cutifani to step down as Vale Base Metals chair
Vale Base Metals (VBM) said on Wednesday that Mark Cutifani would step down as chairperson of the board in July, with Vale CEO Gustavo Pimenta appointed as his successor. Cutifani, the inaugural chairperson of VBM following its carve-out from Vale, is stepping down to focus on new professional projects, the company said.

Vale announced on Wednesday evening (24) that the Governing Council of Vale Base Metals will be chaired by Gustavo Pimenta from 1 August.
