US Preps 93.5% Tariff on Graphite From China

UNITED STATES, JUL 21 – The US imposes a preliminary 93.5% tariff on Chinese graphite to counteract unfair pricing and support domestic and allied graphite supply chains for EV batteries, affecting $347 million in imports.

The Commerce Department will determine the final duty rate in December as the Trump administration promotes domestic critical mineral production.
