In an exclusive interview with LRT, Donald Trump's special envoy for Belarus, John Coale, says Belarusian potash fertilisers could be highly beneficial for the United States and should transit through Lithuania. Coale says he hopes Lithuania will agree to bilateral talks with Belarus at deputy foreign minister level and says Alexander Lukashenko released the detained Lithuanian trucks at his urging.
The United States requires Lithuania to allow transit of exports from Belarus. Vilnius put forward the conditions for the start of dialogue by the Lukashenko regime.

He also said that he hopes that Lithuania will agree to hold a bilateral meeting at the level of deputy foreign ministers and resume the transportation of Belarusian fertilizers.
"I hope that Lithuania agrees to a bilateral dialogue at the level of deputy foreign ministers. We need to put an end to the issues that are hindering life on both sides," Coale said in an interview with the website.
