On May 28, the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) issued a Withhold Release Order (WRO) against the Chinese fishing vessel Zhen Fa 7. Effective immediately, CBP officers at all U.S. ports of entry will seize seafood caught by the Zhen Fa 7, but not limited to squid. CBP said it had reason to suspect that the vessel had implemented forced labor during the fishing process.
