- Separately, the United States banned imports from 43 additional Chinese companies on Friday, citing alleged human rights abuses of Uyghurs, bringing the total entities on the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act Entity List to 187.
- The committee must reach decisions within 30 days based on 11 International Labour Organization indicators; Huang Chi-ya, head of MOL's Department of Labor Standards and Equal Employment, said they "will not rely entirely" on partner determinations.
- DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin stated the U.S. action protects citizens from "unfair competition," while Congressman John Moolenaar noted the House Select Committee will continue pushing for strict enforcement of laws against forced labor in Xinjiang.
