- Some boats tied to docks became stuck beneath and later resurfaced, and Sector Honolulu commander Nicholas Worst described a swift, strategic response.
- The Coast Guard Captain of the Port Honolulu reopened all commercial harbors on Wednesday evening, July 30, after the tsunami advisory was lifted at 8:58 a.m. Wednesday, and beaches reopened.
- Navigators should contact Sector Honolulu at 808-842-2600, authorities still urged caution, saying strong currents may linger.
